Trump SPAC Digital World Acquisition (NASDAQ:DWAC) said on Friday it will hold the special meeting of its stockholders to vote on the approval and adoption of the proposed business combination with former president’s social media platform Trump Media & Technology on March 22.
Shares of DWAC were down 0.2% in extended trading.
Digital World stockholders of record as of the close of business on February 14, 2024, are entitled to attend and vote at the special meeting, the company added.
On Thursday, DWAC finally received SEC approval for its business combination with Trump Media & Technology, the parent of Trump’s social media platform, Truth Social. The SPAC had been trying to acquire Trump’s media company for over two years.
